At the end of the day, spindle torque limitations really just mean taking smaller passes. I get that this particular spindle is really low torque compared to the Nomad 883 and Tormach 770 I’m used to, but still the material in question isn’t that demanding and we’re talking about V slotting with micro-endmills.

I find it very very hard to believe that it can’t be done on this platform, even if the current drilling head unit may need tweaking.

Is this being worked on at all in house?

My understanding is that the platform is not designed to handle the X and Z forces experienced by a milling head. This came up a long time ago and I seem to recall that the lack of milling capability makes the product significantly cheaper.
