High-level goal
I’m trying to print on my VOLTERA V ONE but an error keeps coming out
Steps taken
First I home the machine.
Then i open the console and check the status of the switches with D2 command.
top (z max) and calibration plate (p-bot) are triggered without doing anything.
Then i run I2 C2 command and the next message comes up:
Diagnostic procedure failed
Unable to complete movement, top (z-max) triggered at Z=-0.003750
At this point, i decide to talk to the Voltera support team about this, the only solution that they gave me was cleaning the calibration plate area (p-bot) with isopropil alcohol and a q-tip (cotton swab).
I have tried this many times and the error is not going away, both switches are still triggered.
Then, i noticed that the motherboard of the printer has a copperish colour on that area, so i told this to the voltera team and they said that maybe one of the switches is causing a short on the motherboard.
How can i check this? i have a multimeter but i dont know what to test with it
And if this is the case, what can i do to fix it?
Have any of you guys have experienced this problem? What did you do?
Maybe i’m wrong, but i think that z max switch is triggered because of p bot triggered so it stops the z axis, but when i put a little bit of force on the probe it becames open, so i don’t really know.
Appreciate any help or comments about this topic, thank you.
