From the existing forum posts I am guessing that it is safe to say that the VOne uses a FTDI chip to convert the USB control signals to a UART that then talks to the device firmware?
It would be cool if there was a variant of the VOne that you could buy that has something like an XBee sitting in the middle. This would mean that you could have a wireless connection to the VOne!
On the PC side, you would need something equivalent to dongle that has a USB plug, FTDI chip and another XBee.
You could have multiple people in your office that can all use the same printer, provided each user has a dongle. Voltera can sell extra dongles; offices can have multiple users. Everybody wins.
