[Solved] - How to zoom (magnify) in the software?

I want to magnify (zoom in) the pattern in gerber view in order to choose some pattern to print, or find out which pad is indicated at location phase.
Can I magnify the pattern in gerber view?

Hi @akita11,

We never mention this in any of our documentation, but it is possible to zoom in by scrolling with your mouse wheel.

This will work in pretty much any step of the printing process.

This really helps when selecting pads for pasting but it definitely should be a documented feature! Having zoomed in (by the fairly software-typical method of double clicking on the layout), I was tearing my hair out trying to zoom out again!

On a related note, it would be extremely useful to be able to select individual pads by ‘shift-clicking’ on them. I appreciate that you can select groups of pads by drawing a marquee round them but you can only do it once and it doesn’t allow you to select pads in other parts of the layout. If you could do that it would allow boards to be partially built without covering unused pads with solder.

‘Shift-drag-marquee’ would be even better to select multiple groups of pads. Again this is pretty standard stuff in all CAD software.

You can both hold shift to add to selection on individual paths and shift drag to add to selection another group. You can use CTRL to de-select in the same way. We actually have a little video of this happening in the upper right of the software in the print step.
