Hi everybody,
since two weeks I try to produce solid prototype PCB with our V-One. The conductive ink looks really nice every time. But when it comes to soldering, I’m running into problems. The parts seems to didn’t bond to the ink. I tried to burnish the PCB longer, but doesn’t getting good results.
Used ink is FestiveFerret and solder paste is InformalPenguin.
Here are some pictures I took under a microscope to inspect the solder joints (more are available but can’t post more than three as new user):
Here is one pin and pad of an SOT223 transistor.
This is an SOT457 package. The largest pin looks like it is soldered. But under the microscope it seems like the part is hold to the ink with flux only.
Here I tried to fix some of the joints with a good amount of flux and the provided solder. But it was more “glueing” the parts to the ink.
Does anybody experienced the same issues in the beginning and can give some advice to fix it?
Best regards
