Other sized rivets

I’m wanting to solder pin headers with pin pitches of 1.27mm and 2.00mm and am finding a Goldilocks problem: The two sizes of rivets that Voltera sells (large = 1.5mm drill / 2.2mm head and small = 0.7mm drill / 0.9mm head) are too big to avoid shorts and too small to allow the pin to enter, respectively.

Could Voltera start offering rivets and accompanying rivet tools in intermediate sizes? Ones with head sizes of maybe 1.1mm and 1.8mm? (It seemed odd to me to include drill bits of many different sizes, but not matching rivets.)

Alternatively, could someone point me to some manufacturers of these tiny rivets? I haven’t had a lot of luck searching the web for them. I guess it’s a pretty niche market.

We appreciate the feature request. I just checked our supplier and they unfortunately do not offer any with the exact dimensions you are looking for.

They have a couple of close sizes:

Inner Dia        Outer Dia     Head Dia
    0.6 mm    | 0.8 mm        | 1.3 mm
    0.8 mm    |  1.0 mm       | 1.6 mm
    1.0 mm    |  1.4 mm       | 2.2 mm <-- The one we stock.
    1.2 mm    |  1.6 mm       | 2.6 mm

As far as rivet tools are concerned, I believe the supplier stocks a universal tool but it was a bit pricey last time we checked. If you are interested, we can point you toward the supplier.

Thanks @jazozaya, yeah I talked to Mike and he pointed me to the rivet supplier. I will try using your included tools first as he suggested, but if you can send me info about the universal tool I’d definitely like to check it out and see if it’s within my budget. Thank you!

Hello @jazozaya, I’m also looking for rivets that have diameters falling between those that are used in 1.5mm and 0.7mm drills. Would you be able to share the name/contact of your rivet supplier?
