Light near nozzle

It would (sometimes) be helpful if Voltera came with a light source near the nozzle. I find myself picking up my phone to turn on the flashlight function, especially when I’m printing a PCB with very small details.

Using one of those book lights has also worked but depending on the one I used, the light wasn’t enough.

Other than that, I love using Voltera!

I’m also doing that a fair amount. I ended up buying a clip on rechargeable LED lamp from Amazon and am going to clip it to my desk. I’m also thinking about getting a USB microscope because I can’t see the details well enough when dispensing ink and paste.

This is my first post on the forum here. I got my voltera in december '19 and have enjoyed making boards since then. But also found myself struggling with poor lighting on the place where I have my voltera set up. Especially during aligning I always used a flashlight.

Here is my cheap solution (pictures are darker than real life, my phone’s camera is not handling the contrast very well):

First, I got these two parts from Amazon:

• Adhesive LED strip
• LED strip connector

After cutting a piece of LED strip to the required length, I connected one of the connectors to see if it worked and then tried to stick it in place using the adhesive tape on the back of the strip. Unfortunately it didn’t stick very well so I used a few drops of super glue.

I use the drill attachment power supply to power the LED strip, the light is bright and multi directional. I have never used the flashlight anymore since I have this installed.
Only when I need to use the drill I switch over the connector to the small cable for the drill attachment, so unfortunately no light during drilling.

There are splitter cables available so that you could power both the drill and the LED strip, but so far this is sufficient for me.
