Hello World - Unable to generate dispensing toolpaths

Following along the Getting Started video. Click on the get started with the Hello World tutorial and it immediately shows:

I ran into the same problem using KiCAD V6. Voltera support told me to disable aperture macros. It worked for me.

You can also try to load and re-save the gerbers using GerbV.

Anyone got a simple fix for gerber files coming from EasyEDA? The issue is “Unable to generate dispensing toolpaths” Does anyone get easyEDA gerber files to work smoothly, it could easily be something I am doing with the file.

If you ever experience the “Unable to Generate Toolpaths” error, I recommend putting your gerbers through the GerbV process we have documented here: https://docs.voltera.io/v-one/troubleshooting/gerber-files-fail-to-load . It takes care of most incompatibility issues that we’ve seen with gerber files.

Im not familiar with EasyEDA so I dont have a recommendation to help reduce compatibility issues like the above recommendation for KiCAD. If you happen to come across something for EasyEDA, please let me know.

Thanks @TSS_Bill the online https://gerber.ucamco.com/ could not read either file, but the software Gerbv could not read the zipped gerber file, but could read the individual DRL and GTL files which I could then individually save and load onto the v-one.

It looks like the issue is with the .DRL file so here it is if anyone can see any problems.

I will also have a look at these file difference. perhaps I can just manually edit the .DRL files from easyEDA

Hey @TSS_Bill I am also having issues with the solder paste file. Perhaps easyEDA is not good software to use with the Voltera. (It is really easy after a 5 min video I have students making PCB’s) .

What is the extension that the solder paste file is expecting?

What are some other super easy PCB design software that works well with Voltera and has an online version?

The difference between these two files I see is broken one is using leading zeros and the working one is using trailing zeros. LZ vs TZ in the second lines between the two files. If you can set EasyEDA to use trailing zeros in its files it may make for a better experience.

The extensions are typically acronyms. For example: gerber bottom layer is GBL, gerber top paste is GTP
