Drilling Kapton or PET + Inked Vias?

Has anyone here tried drilling holes in Kapton or PET using the V-One? We don’t currently have the drill attachment at work but I’m considering buying myself a V-One if it can drill vias in Kapton. Obviously I’d have to tape down the Kapton while drilling.

Secondly, has anyone attempted to make inked-through vias? It should be possible to use conductive ink to plate through the vias from a circular pad on one side to a circular pad on the other. Ink would need to be applied to fill the vias after curing the main traces print I think, then re-cure for the via ink.

Any experience, ideas or suggetions welcome!

Hello!

Yes we did it. For one layer prints on both PET and Kapton. We only drilled because we needed an aligned print with 2 different inks. So we didn’t really use them as vias, just for alignment.
