Drill not drilling deep enough

I’ve received my drill and started going through the Punk Console tutorial but I am finding that the drill is not drilling deep enough. When mounting the drill, I am pushing it up on the mounts. Are there any tips or tricks I am missing? Thanks!

I found the advanced link, which exposes the drill depth adjustment. I was able to get the drill to go through after adjusting this from the default 2.00mm to ~ 2.25 - 2.3mm. I think it would be helpful in the punk console tutorial to make mention of this.
