I have boards whose components (e.g., D2Pack) that won’t properly solder using the default profile. For the moment I use the manual option and step through a variety of temps that appear to for he job.
I wonder though if it wouldn’t be possible to offer multiple presaved profiles that I could use based my experience. Better yet, I wonder if the reflow profile isn’t to some extent based on the surface area of the largest pad on the board. If that’s true, maybe an automatic adjustment to the supplied default could be made?
