Color Printing using Water Soluable Screen Printing Ink

We’ve had success using Speedball™ water soluble screen printing inks for con-conductive graphics. A kit of small jars in a variety of colors is available from online retailers (Amazon, etc) as well as hobby and art stores (Michael’s, Hobby Lobby). They are heat settable. About 250F or 120C for about 6 minutes sets it.

That’s cool! Any chance you have pictures to share? We haven’t done much work with inks specifically for graphics, so I’d be interested to see how it turned out.

The big question I have is the mode of delivery - did you use a blunt 26 gauge luer lock needle or the phosphor bronze bell shaped applicator nozzle.?

Did you mean conductive or non-conductive graphics?

I used the black luer lock metal tips from Voltera. The blue were too fine. These were non-conductive graphics.

I have tested a white cloth color from Marabu. It will dry to a rubber (silicon) like material as you know from prints on t-shirts.
I used a Fisnar FIS-32-1/4-ES needle (which bends heavyly on messuring, but dosen’t deform)

I used custom settings for the printing
0.01 mm height (the lowest possible value)
-70uM for the graphics

• 130 um for the text.

Wow, that looks like you’ve acheived a good result. Exactly which screen print ink from Marabu did you use?

Marabu 17160013070 fabric color - it is for t-shirts
