Cleaning before manual soldering

silly question,

I assume its a bad idea to clean the board with alcohol after burnishing, prior to soldering?

Do you just burnish, then wipe with a clean dry cloth to get the dust off, then solder?

or are there any other recommended cleaning steps between burnishing and soldering?

Hey @kdupreez,

I wouldn’t recommend cleaning with alcohol - I just burnish -> blow off the residue -> apply flux -> solder. Flux is the crucial part!
