It has come to our attention that a small set of units shipped out in 2016 are having issues with the new V-One Drill attachment.
From the symptoms described, it appears the drill attachment is generating quite a bit of static electricity during operation and then discharging it into the V-One, causing USB communications to stop. If this happens, the software will remain responsive but you cannot send commands to the printer until you physically reconnect the USB cable and establish a new connection.
This only affects units made in 2016, since they do not have the same level of ESD protection as the newer printers. The engineering team is working on a fix and hope to roll it out ASAP.
