Multi connection Point Rivet Problem

Hi,

I have been experimenting with rivets to get an OLED with connectors connected to my Voltera printed board.

In eagle I use a plated through hole connector of 12 pins.

Sometimes the 1.0 mm rivets touch eachother and I get faulty connections.

Anyone has the same experience and how did you solve it?

Theoretically I can think of a couple of ways to improve. The head diameter of the Voltera rivets is 2.2 mm, do you maybe use rivets with smaller heads?

My best fix so far has been alternating the rivets topside <> downside

btw striking them with a little less force also helped the rivets to be less flat on the head side as you can see on the right vs the left.

The rivet metal is soft enough to be cut with a sharp x-acto knife. We usually just cut a path through any touching rivets. We do it with the help of a microscope, but you could probably do it without if you had to.
