Making my first board to be used in a customer’s project. The board will be sandwiched between acrylic and aluminum. Because of the aluminum I would like to insulate the board. I thought a conformal coating would be best and I think there are two options
- silicon based. Has anyone had luck with silicon coating?
- acrylic based. Well I tried the acrylic an this definitely dissolves the ink traces and all the SMDs pop off with little force.
Non-standard coatings;
*)How about epoxy?
*)If all else fails, is my best option Kapton tape?
Thanks for any advice.
