I was wondering what solvent(s) were used for the silver conductive ink, and if confidential, whether or not the silver conductive ink would eat away nail polish.

Welcome to the forums!

We actually have not tried printing on nail polish, however I do not think the ink will eat away at it. What concerns me more is the baking temperature. After printing the ink needs to be cured at 200C for 30 mins, so the nail polish that you use needs to be able to withstand the curing temperature.

Our MSDS for the conductive ink and the solder paste is located here39. but I don’t think the particular solvents used are listed there.

Do you mind sharing more about your application? We might be able to help you out.

Sorry it's been a while, I was thinking of using nail polish as an insulator for one of our research topics. I've read through the MSDS and will conduct experiments, and let everyone know how it worked.

Sorry, the MSDS link is dead for me.

I too would ideally like to know what solvent you use (but can understand that it is likely in your commercial interests not to disclose that information).

I am making n-type and p-type semiconductor inks using organic and metal-salt nanoparticles and would like to know what solvents I might like to try in order to get good adherence to the standard Voltera conductive paste. I would prefer to have something with a similar curing temperature.

Interested to hear what thoughts people have.

Unfortunately the solvent is not available to purchase, but perhaps my colleague @mewertow may be able to give some tips and tricks regarding solvents.
